The Legacy of Cars & Caves
Cars & Caves traces its roots back to 2009 when Minnesota Cars & Coffee (MN C&C) partnered with the Chanhassen AutoPlex, one of the first and most recognized garage condo locations in the country. This monthly gathering revolutionized the Minnesota car scene by bringing together enthusiasts of all kinds—regardless of their preferred make, model, or era—on a regular basis. Before MN C&C, car shows in Minnesota were often limited to brand-specific events like Mopar or German car meets, typically held just once a year. MN C&C changed the game by creating a fun, inclusive, and accessible monthly
event that showcased the best cars in Minnesota.
In 2013, MN C&C moved on, but the Chanhassen AutoPlex wasn’t done. After a brief hiatus, the owners relaunched the event in 2015 as Cars & Caves, and it’s been a staple of the Minnesota car community ever since. Held on the last Saturday of each month from April through September, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., this show is a must-visit for anyone passionate about collector cars, muscle cars, antiques, street rods, exotic vehicles, and vintage motorcycles.
What Makes Cars & Caves Special?
Cars & Caves isn’t your average car show. It’s a unique blend of automotive passion, community spirit, and family-friendly fun, all set against the backdrop of the stunning Chanhassen AutoPlex. Here’s why it stands out:

MOTOR CONDOS AT INDEPENDENCE
We are building a new garage condo community in Minnesota, with groundbreaking planned for 2025. Located just 25 minutes from downtown Minneapolis via a fun drive.
